Summer requires an intermediate rider
that is calm and knows how to use reins
and/or legs. Summer was trained by
previous owner (we are her 2nd) to move
out fast with legs- so a new rider might
clamp down and be surprised that she
moves out so quickly. But Summer is so
loving and wants to please, that she
will adjust to the new riders
style...just has to have time to
understand what the rider wants. Summer
did not like being on display at the
Horse Affairs- she kept to herself in
the corral. However, she is a show off
and loves parades. She has been in
several large parades- Xmas in Boise and
Annual Stampede/Rodeo parade in Nampa
(hot July!). She will spend the entire
time at (if you let her) a fancy
high step jog or controlled showy
canter...she just loves the attention.
Great at play days, shows a knack for
barrel racing. Was involved with
previous owners in 4H rodeos, 4H shows,
etc...so very kid friendly and likes to
get out. Trail ride off our property.
Calm with cars, quads, airplanes, etc...
Courtney rode her with halter bareback
lots of times and always okay.
I
have papers on both horses, would be
willing to do a full lease, this way
you'll have time to figure out if this
is the horse for you.
