Koenig is a sweetheart.
He is all looks, personality, charisma
and charm. He is very cute under
saddle. We are in the process of
putting professional training on him and
he is walking and trotting under saddle
at this time. He is very patient,
forgiving and kind. He is willing and
fast to learn. Irresistably huggable,
he truly is a huge teddy bear. His
character is just adorable - personality
boy just loves to play! He would be a
great lower level dressage horse,
perhaps a foxhunter, trail horse and, of
course, a beautiful carriage horse.
Koenig is very playful and he would do
great with somebody with a lot of time
to enjoy with him. Be it giving him a
job as a carriage horse or a riding
horse - he would excel in a home where
his person or family has extra hours to
just hang out with him. He loves
grooming and bath time. He stood
quietly for his full body clip. He was
not thrilled about it, but very patient
and well-behaved.
He is doing
nicely under saddle. He is currently
being trained in the basics of dressage.
With patience, repetition, consistency
and lots of praise - Koenig is showing
marked improvement on a daily basis.
The video we have uploaded is over 30
minutes long. We have shown Koenig in
x-ties, being groomed, wrapped and
tacked up. We show how calm and
desensitized he is by walking him over
tarp, flapping tarp near him, slamming
the car door, playing music loud, having
a loud gas strimmer running next to him.
We also show how he loads in the
trailer. Finally, we show his movement
on the lunge and under saddle. The trot
initially looks a little "pokey" on the
lunge and his trot is actually more
forward and expressive when he is being
ridden. There is a lot of additional
information about Koenig in this video.

professional training under saddle.
