Kommissar
used to be used as an Amish Horse. He
is a gentle giant. Supremely
intelligent, very sweet, patient and
forgiving. We are currently in the
process of backing him to ride, and he
is so well trained to voice command and
very obedient on the lunge line. This
pair of geldings would really look
incredible pulling carriages, especially
for weddings as they are stunning. He
does have a fantastic work ethic and is
comfortable to ride (big, wide and
smooth), he would make a great trail
horse for those who like to enjoy the
countryside on horseback, at a slower
pace.
Kommissar is not at all
aggressive toward other horses, in fact,
he is the one that tends to get all the
boo-boos as he is fairly low on the
totem pole. He loves human attention
and will happily stand for hours being
groomed, bathed, clipped or just having
somebody sit on his back. He is very
social and would make a wonderful
companion as well as a working horse.
He is absolutely huge, he feels as wide
as he is tall. His gaits are rhythmic,
fluid, regular and clear.
The video
we have uploaded is almost 30 minutes
long. We have shown Kommissar in
x-ties, being groomed, wrapped and
tacked up. We show how calm and
desensitized he is by walking him over
tarp, flapping tarp near him, slamming
the car door, playing music loud, having
the gas blower running next to him. We
also show how easily he loads in the
trailer. Finally, we show his movement
on the lunge and finally how quietly he
stands for a rider to mount up. There
is additional information about
Kommissar in this video. We will be
uploading more photos as his training
progresses. His price will also
increase accordingly with continued
professional training under saddle.

We absolutely adore this guy. He has a
very quiet and wise aura about him. He
is a very peaceful horse and we would
love to see him with somebody that could
really appreciate these qualities.
Koenig (the matching belgian) is a huge,
playful and charismatic puppy dog.
Kommissar is very quiet, serious,
careful and highly intelligent by
comparison.
