Skip is a super quiet trail horse, he is
a very well behaved gentle guy. I have
had Skip for 3 years, and have never had
any health issues or lamness. He is a
very easy keeper. Not the boss in the
pasture. He loads great in the trailer,
and stands nice for the farrier. He has
been bare foot all summer and in the
winters. Skip is kept outside, most of
the time, but can be stalled. Skip is a
very quiet trail horse, you don't even
have to hold the reins. Very level
headed. Doesn't spook at anything. He
will go threw water, mud, bridges ect..
He is pretty much use to us doing
anything on him. Climbing trees off him,
throwing sticks at other riders, and
riding at night. Camping and standing at
the picket line, loud bonfires, traffic,
dogs, kids..... Skip has a nice jog
trot, and a very smooth rocking lope.
Neck reins and backs up. Not a fast
horse, is lazy. His ground manners are
excellant, very easy to lead, and ty,
saddle and bridle. Loads great in the
trailer, and stands. Would be great for
a beginner, to senior. Also has been
show western in the past, so he still
could do shows.
