Painter (AKA Rock) is a Stocky Built,
15.2hh, 10 yr old, Black/White Tobiano
Gelding!!! Rock has been used for
various farm activates including
checking, sorting and herding cattle.
We have also used him at our facility to
herd horses from pasture to pasture. He
has been on camping trips and trail
ridden all over. He has been ridden by
all ages, around the farm by an older
gentleman and trail ridden by and older
lady, the grandkids have also ridden
him. Rock is gentle and safe for
beginners to ride and he is sure to help
build most anyone’s confidence levels.
Rock has a super smooth runwalking gait
where he will nod his head and also has
a nice canter with a good stop. He has
a very laid back disposition and will
walk slowly on a loose rein with his
head down or move on out when told. Rock
is easy to catch, clip, bath, tack-up,
load, and handle. He is double
registered TWHBEA and SSHBEA, and has a
good pedigree. Rock has had 2 months of
professional gaiting, trail and
bombproof training. He has been ridden
around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large
noisy tarps and has also had guns shot
off of his back. Just like everything we
say about our horses, we have the videos
to prove it. No matter where he goes or
what he does, Rock is not spooky acting.
On the trails he is always great! Rock
has been exposed to all kinds of
wildlife such as deer or turkey or other
animals like cows or dogs and will go
anywhere that he is asked too. He has
been rode many miles in the mountains of
Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee and
encountered every obstacle possible on
the trail. He will go up or down even
the steepest slopes, across deep creeks,
over downed trees, and over all types of
rough terrain while still being sure
footed. He has been rode in traffic and
is safe around cars and trucks. He has a
great attitude and an easy going
personality. Solid as a rock, smooth
and easy as a painter!!! Feel free to
call me with any questions.
