Chanel came into the rescue after she
had been seized by the ASPCA and taken
to an auction where we bought her. On
April 18th 2008 she gave birth to a
gorgeous little colt we named Hugo Boss.
We weaned Hugo and after a year and
half of working with her she is well
greenbroke.
Chanel is rapidly
turning into the quiet relaible riding
pony we knew she was going to be. She
ignored dogs underfoot, goats running
around and passing traffic. She doesn't
spook at unknown objects and will go
through anything you ask her to.
She
still has a huge belly thanks to
previous foals and free access to hay,
but once she get's exercised on a
regular basis she can slim down to a
nice size.
Chanel is good for tying,
is a little bit of a brat when saddling
as she likes to move about. Good for
bridling and good for getting on to. She
can be ridden bareback or western and
does fine in both, as well as be ridden
in a bridle or in a bitless bridle.
Not a beginner kids horse though,
she needs someone with a little
experience as we've found that she gets
annouyed quickly with beginner kids
jerking her head about and gets bratty
because of it.
Chanel is good for the
farrier and up to date on her shots and
de-worming. NON-BREEDING HOME ONLY!
