Must be sound for riding, and healthy.
No major vices such as cribbing and weaving.

Absolutely needs to be stocky, as rider is 6'1" and 220lbs.

Prefer 15.2 to 17.3hh. 10 or older, will consider younger.

Easy keeper is a must, as they will be kept with a pony who cannot eat high fat,or high protien, rich feeds.

No Thoroughbreds but a full Standardbred, or a cross might be okay.
