Chip is a
weanling (foaled 5/14/09) buckskin
appaloosa stallion. He has the rare
snowcap coloring pattern that is
homozygous for appaloosa. This means you
can breed him to solid colored mares and
still get appaloosa colts! It is an
absolute great way to focus on mares
with good breeding and conformation
without having to worry about whehter or
not you will get color!
Snowcap
appaloosas are extremely hard to find as
no one every offers them for sale. I had
planned to retain Chip in our breeding
program and make him our next herdsire,
however, I just found out I am having a
baby and we are not going to breed minis
for a while. Therefore, for a short time
only, Chip is being offered for sale.
He is a real sweetheart to work
with. Very calm and well-mannered. His
sire was 29" and his dam was 32.5" so he
is sure to stay small! Another very hard
trait to find! He is sure to produce
very high quality babies. Appy colts
with good breeding easily sell for
$3500/piece as weanlings (do a google
