Roxy is a very affectionate and
people-oriented horse. I broke her
myself in Feb. of 2008, and I have been
showing her since August of that year.
From the beginning, she has been an
extremely easy horse to work with. She
has such amazing movement that she has
been a hack winner since her first show
(at a GHJA show, and against some
warmbloods to boot!). She’s shown in
crossrails, pre-green, and 2’ classes
thus far. She can jump the moon and has
never taken a rail. She has a super
square jump over fences no matter the
height. She’s been schooled up to 2’6’’
courses and 2’9’’ fences and will be
able to compete at the “AA” 3’
divisions. She gets along well in the
pasture. Roxy is a very smart horse and
generally needs to be told something
once before she understands. She’s
currently ridden at home in a
french-link and will be ridden at future
shows in a straight or slow twist
snaffle. Just recently, she was at a
pleasure show and beat 2-3 horses that
compete at the AQHA world show. The
judge remarked that she was “by far” the
best mover in the class, and that there
was no competition, even though these
horses were all a few hands taller than
her. She loads, clips, ties, and stands
nicely for the vet or farrier. Roxy
needs a girl that will take her to the
top! Best fit for her would be a bigger
11 y/o – smaller 17 y/o child with a
trainer to help both Roxy and her new
partner to the top.
