"Too Good To Be True" is a warning
against the scammers that use these
Internet classifieds to scam money from
people longing to have a horse (most
often Friesian) but who doesn't have
much money to spend. Scammers often list
a free or low priced horse for sale.
Often the ad talks in glowing terms of
what a wonderful horse they have, all
trained & kid/husband safe, etc. The
scammer is only wanting a good home for
the imaginary horse & requests only that
you pay shipping cost. IF IT SOUNDS TOO
GOOD TO BE TRUE it probably is. Don't
buy a horse sight unseen (& photos don't
count). Often the ad makes clear that
the seller doesn't have a clue about
horses (& especially Friesians) nor know
what care is required. Be careful.
