I have a beautiful 12 year old, 15 hh
mare. She is Chestnut with a white
stripe and 4 white socks. Dixie is very
sweet but is a boss mare to other
horses. Dixie is also very stocky and
stout and is very sturdy. She is
definately not for the beginner rider. I
would reccommend an advanced rider
because she does like to kick out with
her hind legs every once in awhile. This
can also be fixed with some time. I'm a
college student so I currently don't
have time to work her like she needs to
be but if I did, I wouldn't be selling
her because she is an awesome horse but
I need the money to pay for college
tuition. She has been on some trails,
ridden on the road, and ridden out in
open fields. She trailers nice, stands
for the farrier/vet, and stands to be
saddled, groomed, washed, etc. She has
no bad habits. I think she was trained
for either barrels or roping in her past
due to her speed and quick turns at the
lope or gallop. She is a wonderful
little mare to have either as a riding
companion or as a pasture mate. I love
her to death but I'm forced to sell her
to cover some college expenses. I want
her to go to a GOOD HOME ONLY. I'm
currently only asking $700 but when I
have time to work her, her price will go
