'Jayde' is a lovely, 16 hh, 7 yr old
Percheron X mare that I am offering for
sale as I don't have the time needed to
continue her training. She has a gentle
and pleasant personality that is eager
to please - according to her previous
owner she was sent for training 3 - 4
years ago where she was broke to ride
and drive; however, she has not had
anything done with her since. I have
saddled, bridled, lunged, and long-lined
her, but have not yet backed her myself
so I can not personally comment on the
actual degree of training she has under
saddle or hitched.
She trailers
well, is up to date on all vaccines
(WEE/EEE/WNV/Tetanus/Rabies) and
deworming. She is still learning to pick
her feet up, but is doing well and
allowed the farrier to trim her front
feet during his last visit.
She
is a VERY easy keeper - happy to live
24/7 outside with a shelter.
I am
in no rush to sell her and will only
consider selling her to someone with
experience with green horses who will
also provide her with excellent
care.
'Jayde' has excellent
confirmation, is sound, and is a good
mover, but due to her solid build is
best suited as a foxhunter, low level
eventer, hackhorse, or driving mare.
Jayde is a steal at this price - my
main concern is she finds a home where
she will be well cared for and be able
to enjoy a job!
