Price is negotiable as I am mainly
concernced that he go to a good
home.
Health: Fergus is in
great health...have never had colic or
foundered etc. Only needs shoes if you
are going to ride on gravel road,
otherwise he is fine without them. He
is UTD on all shots, worming and
teeth.
Training: He is good to
ride, knows all commands, does flying
lead changes etc. He has clearly had
proper training and responds well to leg
cues. Needs an advanced beginner or
experienced rider to ride him. He is
not hot or stupid, can just be a little
pushy at times but with a firm voice
command will stop. With regular work he
gets better but I haven't had a lot of
time lately to ride him.
I haven't
tried to jump him but I am sure he could
easily do that...and may have done that
in the past. He is great on trails,
doesn't spook or mind being the lead
horse.
Personality: Very
friendly guy...will almost always come
to greet you at the gate. Loves a good
head scratch and does not have any
vices. Easy keeper on round bales and
grass. He is currently kept out
24x7...only bring him in when the
weather is really bad or cold. Never
had any problems with his health, feet
or lameness. Loves the hose, no problem
with farrier or vet.
