Shamala is a former show mare (halter
and pleasure). She is broke to ride but
has not really been ridden in 6 years.
She is a beautiful mare but has some
issues and needs a patient owner. She
stresses out very easily and takes a
while to settle in to a new routine.
She's fairly high strung and paces when
she's nervous. She's also
"claustrophobic" with small spaces
(going in and out of stalls/narrow barn
doors). Shamala leads, ties and
trailers. She longes wonderfully. I
don't believe she's ever been trail
ridden, just has been an arena horse.
I've ridden her once here, in the yard
briefly. She immediately goes into a
collected WP trot with her head tucked.
With the right owner I think she could
go back into the show ring, (that's what
she knows best). She does seem to calm
down more while she's being ridden.
She's registered as a 1/2 Arab but is
close to purebred. Call or email for
