beginner safe, dead broke, & bombproof
trail horse. Shawnee is a 6 1/2 yro,
15h, AQH mare. She is a sorrel/red dun
color (has dorsal & belly stripe), large
blaze, & hind stockings, (she has her
winter coat right now & looks dark red).
Good sound trail horse, goes through mud
& water, over logs, etc; has been on the
Knott Co trail ride. Ride her English,
Western, or bareback. Double up w/ an
adult or child, or ride another horse &
"pony" her behind you w/ a child or
beginner on her back. Jump on her
bareback in the pasture/yard and just
hold on to her halter (riding double or
single). She was our "confidence
builder" and a lot of people learned how
to ride on her. Has been around cats,
dogs, cows, donkeys, lamas, trains,
4wheelers, dirtbikes, gunshots; nothing
bothers her. Trailers good, picks up all
4 feet w/ no problem, BUT she does have
to be shod in a shoeing stock ONLY! She
is UTD on wormings, coggins & health
certificate, hoof trimmings & new shoes
all around. Really great horse, flashy,
gentle, laid back, loves attention, &
always greets you. Trying to
downsize-($800/trade), we also have a
broke Appaloosa gelding-($350/trade). We
will sell both horses together as a
package deal-($1,000), and are also
willing to trade both of these horses to
one broke, gaited, saddle horse gelding.
