“Beautiful Bay Quarter Horse”
Sassy has great bloodlines, a
beautiful head, nice confirmation, great
feet, and she’s the perfect size. She
is a super-easy keeper and gets along
great with other horses. She loves
attention, is easy to catch, and doesn’t
mind a bath. She is also a super smooth
ride.
I bought Sassy last year to use
as a trail horse and possible 4-H drill
team horse for my twelve-yr. old
daughter. We took her to about eight
practices where she did very well,
(especially considering she hadn’t been
ridden in six years). We started
having some trailering issues but have
since figured out that she gets nervous
when loaded alone but has done fine if
another horse is loaded first.
My
daughter took her on a trail ride a few
weeks ago with her 4-H club--they rode
behind a mule wagon, passed cows, went
through several creeks, and over a
bridge. For the most part, she did well
except some impatience and hopping up
with her several times. Even though my
daughter has ridden her many times as
well as kids younger than her, I think
she is best suited for a confident adult
rider that is not afraid to discipline
her.
She would also make a nice brood
mare, she has good bloodlines and she
has had two foals.
We paid $2300-
for her last year, but will take BEST
