Personality:
Friendly but leary of strangers. Easy to
lead, tie, trim, trailer, etc. Currently
turned out with a herd of horses, ponies
and donkeys, all mares. Hard to catch
when in a big field.
History/Training: English,
Western, Trails - Likes to be leader on
trails. Enjoys Jumping. Her previous
owners believe she was previously
abused, so they did alot of work with
her getting Goldie to trust them, so she
does need to go to a home where she will
be handled and ridden gently and
lovingly. Previous owners paid $3000 for
her and owned her since 2002. He used to
lunge her before riding her. She had not
been ridden in 3 years prior to coming
to HCW due to her owner's health, but we
rode her the other day here and she was
perfect, but not for a beginner as she
takes a few minutes to settle down and
trust her rider, and she can be very
energetic! Would likely enjoy western
gaming or endurance!

We will never recoup what we have into
this horse (hay, feed, deworming,
farrier, training, etc) so we understand
we will be taking a huge loss, and we
are used to that, but we do hope to get
something for her so that we can
continue to help other horses & ponies
in need. So please make an offer. She's
a nice horse, she needs and deserves a
good permanent loving home. She has been
patiently waiting since June '09 and
barely anyone has come to see her. All
offers will be considered, but not
necessarily accepted **
