Sasha's Duster is a 5 year old gelding
standing 14.2 HH. He is a claybank
buckskin with dapples over his body. He
is becoming a strong mount out on the
trail, and being started english and
over fences.
This gelding is eye
catching and flashy and will make a
great horse to work with over the winter
to prepare for the upcoming show season.
He has been ridden on trails,
through rivers by himself and with other
horses. Dusty has been ridden in the
arena and has a flowing walk, trot, and
canter. He has good extension,
especially in the trot. His canter is
becoming more balanced and is a steady
even rhythm that is desired in the show
ring. This boy is not one to let pass
by.
He has good ground manners,
ties quietly, lifts his feet easily, and
is not pushy. Dusty has been ridden
western and english and is fine in both
saddles. With further schooling he will
make an excellent youth horse due to his
calm nature and willing attitude. With
his size, conformation, and thick
cannons Dusty is able to easily carry a
full grown adult rider as well. This
gelding is extremely atheletic, he is
well balanced, and we expect great
things from him.
His attitude
towards fences, and neat tidy feet make
him a great candidate for the hunter or
jumper ring. When free jumped he easily
cleared fences set at 3f with ease. He
actually continued around the ring and
towards the next fence without
encouragement. When jumped under saddle
he was honest and tried hard to please.
He went over the fence happily and
approached and landed at an even
pace.
