Dixie is an OTTB with a winning history
of $100,000+ in earnings. He came off
the track in excellent health with no
racing injuries. Dixie is sound and
healthy, UTD, loads, bathes, and clips
well. He stands well for the farrier
and does not need shoes.
Dixie is
currently being ridden by his owner who
is a very beginner rider and learned
everything about riding and horse
ownership from Dix. Mike has purcahsed
a new, larger mount and is ready to
re-home Dixie to a more appropriate
family.
Recently, Dixie has been
worked over fences and was jumping
2'-2'3" easily within his first 15 rides
over fences. He has a very strong hind
quarter which will give him the strength
and ability to jump incredibly well.
Though he is still a bit green over
fences, Dixie has a powerful stride that
takes him to the jump. He is brave and
willing and eager to please. A few more
miles over fences will refine his
ability and put Dixie high in the
ribbons.
Dixie is very broke
undersaddle and can walk/trot/canter on
a long rein. He can be ridden daily or
monthly, has trail experience, and is an
easy keeper. He is a great horse for
someone interested in learning to ride
as he is gentle and honest. However,
Dixie has the makings of a show winner
and is really suitable for a rider
looking to show greens. Price will
increase with
experience.

owner's annual Cavalry unit command
group.
