Liadan is a
15.1hh 5 year old AQHA (4614076)
registered grey quarter horse mare with
excellent ground manners and a sweet
disposition. She ties, cross ties,
clips, loads, stands quietly for
grooming, bathing, saddling, mounting,
dismounting. She is exceptionally calm
for her age (or any age) and can be
safely handled by children. She has
excellent feet and does well without
shoes, is up to date on everything,
easily maintains her weight on a small
amount of grain, and has never had any
health issues. She has never tried to
kick or bite, gets along well with other
horses, is never barn sour, has no
vices, on trail rides she is fine with
being in front or in back. She is very
brave and will try anything you ask her
to do - she has never refused to do
anything. She will go through water,
over bridges, over jumps with objects
most other horses find terrifying, She
has been ridden down the side of a rural
highway with cars whizzing by and was
perfectly calm about it. She is a very
safe horse and almost never spooks -
when she does get startled by something
it is a very small reaction and she
continues to pay attention to her rider
even when frightened or unsure. She is
extremely intelligent and learns very
quickly. She has been trained on the
ground and under saddle using natural
horsemanship methods and will back up,
yield her hindquarters, flex laterally,
send through tight spaces. She has a
naturally nice walk where she steps
under and a very smooth trot and canter.
She has been ridden english and western,
had some very basic dressage training,
been taken over 6" cross rails and
cavaletti, and ridden down roads,
highways, trails, through the woods. She
is a great all around horse and a
fantastic and safe trail horse. Please
