Romeo is a big 16.3 Bay Gelding, a
gentle giant though. White Blaze and
sock on back leg. He is absolutely
gorgeous, the best looking horse I ever
owned. He has show quality looks, I get
compliments on him every time I take him
somewhere. I have had Romeo for two and
a half years, he has been my competitive
jr rodeo horse until over the summer. I
bought a 1D horse so now I don't use him
as much as he is worth, he has so much
more potential. He runs consistant 2D
times, he RARELY (only twice with me)
ever hits poles or barrels and always
gives it his heart. He goes any speed,
thats why I think he would be great for
Youth or someone just getting into
barrel racing. When pushed he can STROLL
and run 1D, I have won about 5 Jackpots
in the 1D all in the past year. Romeo
also is a great roping horse, we have
headed and heeled off of him but he
works better on the head side, it all
came to him naturally and he just needs
to work on his facing and he'll be
considered "finished", which he is
almost there. He rides bareback, trails,
in a halter, with nothing. I have done a
lot of natural horsemanship with him.
Romeo loves attention, he is a very "in
your pocket" kind of horse, he meets you
at the gate never fail. He is DEAD
BROKE, he has never spooked or gotten
out of line with me. He has really good
manners, stands for anything and
everything. No vices. His only problem
is cosmetic and it is a scar on his hind
leg from getting caught in barbed wire
as a 3 year old, nothing a sport boot
can't cover up. As far as physically it
doesn't affect him in any way, I have
papers from UF where they approved him
as fine from when he had rehab and
surgery there with his previous owner.
He is very easy to ride, has good
brakes, turns easy, does anything you
ask of him. I will hate to see him go
because we really have a bond but I
think he deserves to live out his full
potential with someone that needs him.
Feel free to call or email for pictures
(which I will eventually post) or any
questions you have. Will trade for
smaller horse I could use as back up for
rodeo or has basics and needs
patterning.
