Rio is a 15hd very stocky built mare.
She is well trained and is 100 % neck
reigned. She will back with slight bit
pressure. She is light in the mouth and
is very easily handled. She stops on
voice command and light reign pressure.
Her gait is smooth and flawless. Her
canter is as smooth as they come. She
transitions from the saddle gait to the
canter with ease. She loads, bathes,
clips, hauls, backs out the trailer,
stands quiet for the ferrier, and will
stand to get on and off. She accepts
being fly sprayed. She has been exposed
to cattle, deer, wild turkeys, ATV's,
and is vehicle / road safe. She is best
suited for an intermediate rider but
some advanced beginner(non-timid)riders
would do well with her. She does not
buck, rear, or crow hop. She will not
get animated when other horses go by
her. She gets along with other mares and
geldings in the pasture and is not the
alpha mare but she will hold her own.
