I have a stunning 9 year old paint
gelding available to the right person
Just came back from 3 1/2 months of
turn out hes really rusty and a tad
green
ive been bringing him back
slowly he goes ONLY westen, and in a
hackamore
You could get him going
english i dont mind. I'd like if you
rode him western first though.
he
needs more time than i have . I also
have 2 other horses im spread too thin
between the 3 .
his steering is
horribly rusty. He walk trots and
canters with very light cues. no heels
needed i only use calf pressure with him
you CANNOT kick him. He'll freak
out.
He backs up with slight
pressure . turns on his haunches with
ease. still working on bringing his
reining abilities back
Im offering a
once in a lifetime opportunity to own
your own horse without alot of the other
expenses and headaches
My offer
is you can come down 7 days a week, or
as many as you could / want to
( i
feed at 8.30am sometimes 9:30am and 1pm
sometimes 2 pm lunch and 7.30 sometimes
8pm dinner)
You pay his rough board
, on the first of every month, in cash.
Clean his paddock / stall 1/2 of the
week once a day on the days you do it
He only comes in if its going to be
bad out. otherwise he stays out.
I'll pay for his Feed and feed him
and provide shavings and bring him
in/out.
we have no lights outdoors
yet so you'd have to ride in the
evenings or mornings what ever time you
want
First month would be under
supervision as he is a rescue and has
been abused in the past.(hes not for
adoption so hes not going anywhere)
i want to ensure the right match is
made. Room for your saddle or anything
you'd like to leave at the barn. I use a
wintech western saddle on him he likes
the smaller saddles
id prefer if you
brought your own to try on him if you
have one. He has his own boots ,
grooming supplies , bridle. BUT you are
welcome to bring what ever you'd like as
he'd be yours.
Only my 3 horses and
my barn owners horse. its very very
private and low key
Whole acre of
grass to ride on .
After 2 - 3
months you may take him on trail alone.
You can ofcourse come out with us
when we go out as well =]
Would
love for you to spend a few days with
him to make sure you are and will be
commited to this.
Willing to write a
full term 'lease' after a few months to
ensure your a right match and get along
with him.
My only rules are
;
must sign release form and WEAR A
HELMET, and form that states if the
horse in injured under your care /
riding you are responsible to care for
him and pay expense for the injury if
need be
(ie -if you bow his tendon,
you must hose and wrap him everyday , if
a vet has to be called you are
responsible) he's never been injured or
lame the whole year ive had him. this
just ensures
responsibilty and
carfulness.
no
in-experienced or timid riders please.
hes a good boy but hes strong.
very
in your pocket. shy at first, needs to
warm up to you
if interested please
send an email with your age, location
and experience .
