Here is your chance to get a even
tempered, experienced, friendly but not
pushy, trail horse. My 5 year old
granddaughter is learning to ride him in
the round pen under my supervision, and
he is quite responsive to her (pic
coming). But because of that
responsiveness, I would not just turn an
inexperienced child loose on him quite
yet. He will go through whatever comes
up on a trail - water, mud, hills. He
is very quiet out in the pasture, but
perks up on the trail, while still
walking nicely on a loose rein. Has
been to many state parks multiple times
this summer. He also worked a bit in a
covered arena - no issues. Fine with
deer, geese, dogs. Flat walks at a nice
brisk pace. Loads easily, ties quietly.
Easy to saddle and bridle. Good for
farrier, baths.
Canters on either
lead, though still working on the canter
cue. Direct reins, and starting to neck
rein. Also starting to work on headset.
Wants to cooperate. No kicking or
biting. Steady even trot. Spooks in
place if surprised. Likes to lead on a
trail, but can go behind. Has had some
round pen experience. Very steady to
mount or dismount from a mounting block
or from the ground. Easy to stop and
easy to move forward.
Also broke to
drive. Good in traffic.
Barefoot at
present, but has been shod.
Only
selling because I have 3 other horses,
including 2 other Haflingers. Otherwise
he would be staying here.
Worth
checking out. No trades, please.
