SSHBEA #10800239. Vegas (Hidalgo in the
Sky) is a coming 3 year old registered
Spotted Saddle gelding. He stands about
15.2 hands now and still has some
growing to do. This gelding is sure a
looker. He's super easy to handle and
loves attention. You can rub all over
this horse and he doesn't care what you
do to him as long as he is getting
attention. He pastures well with
others, loads/unloads, trims with
electric clippers, stands calmly for the
farrier and has no vices at all. This
guy trail rides nicely and is not spooky
or easily excited. He rides quietly
alone, but does fine with a group as
well. He has a willing, gentle
attitude. The only thing that tends to
bother Vegas is thick, deep mud which he
will cross with patience and
encouragement. Deep creeks, ditches,
downed trees, briars etc. do not phase
him. Vegas has a smooth saddle gait
that he will do willingly when asked for
some speed. He is not a fast paced
horse with alot of "go" and does not
need to be held back to keep from
speeding off. For his age, Vegas is very
laid back and calm and he has more
manners and sense than horses twice his
age. Anyone who knows the basics of
riding could handle him with no
problems. He does not need to be ridden
regularly to stay broke. We do not have
the time to finish him out and would
like to find a new home for him.
