Penny is a six year old, registered
Appendix mare. Penny is a very quiet,
gentle, calm horse, she walks right up
to you in the pasture and follows you
where ever you walk. She likes to be
brushed pet and cuddled. If her
owner/rider is happy then she is happy,
all she wants to do is please. She needs
a calm, gentle, loving rider and only
will be sold to one. Penny comes when
called, stands for haltering, leads well
(stops when you stop and never gets in
your space) she picks up her feet but
picks up the front better then the back,
she stands for the farrier and vet,
stands for saddle. She can just have the
saddle and pad basically dumped on her
and she stands quietly. Doesnt have a
problem with the cinch or bit, doesnt
raise her head for the bridle or chew
the bit. She can have polo wraps and
shipping boots put on, stands like a
dream for mounting. So far I have been
on her being led around but only walked
with out being led. I dont have a round
pen and I'm not comfterable training a
horse with out an enclosed area to do it
in. I will continue her training but
would prefer her go to a good home to
get finished. She would make a good
trail, jumping or barrel horse. I have
her out in the pasture on total pasture
turn out but I have kept her in the
stall and is fine in there for any
length of time. She cross and single
