He may only stand 15 hands high but this
3 year old Registered Paint gelding has
a huge heart and a lot of potential.
Monty was broke this spring and has been
progressing successfully ever since. In
fact, he has been shown at two Greater
Sudbury Dressage Association shows at
which his tests were all extremely
satisfying. All of his scores were
between 61.9% and 65%, earning him a
Champion title in his Introductory
division. Nonetheless, dressage is only
one of Monty’s talents. He has also
been shown at two local hunter shows and
has been over small x-rails with no
difficulty. He likes jumping and could
easily be doing small courses, not to
mention Training Level dressage, in the
spring. He is an exceptionally fast
learner and has been a pleasure to work
with both under saddle and on the
ground. Monty loves attention and is
extremely laid back. He trailers, ties,
baths, clips and stands for the farrier
all very well. He is even road safe. He
hasn't been lame a day in his life, his
feet are exceptional, he is low
maintance...
Monty is a wonderful
gelding and I would never sell him if I
had another choice, however, I’ve run
out of room. He would be perfect for a
young rider interested in showing,
essentially, I’d like to see him go to a
show home where he could continue his
training. Until then, he will continue
his training with me and will continue
to be shown. I hope to show him again at
the end of the month and if I still have
him in the spring, he will likely be
shown Trillium. Don't miss
