Scotch Megafleet, aka Jag - has been my
precious horse for four years now, but
now I've headed down for college and
isn't getting the attention he deserves
in a horse that is just beginning his
'prime years'. He's a very well mannered
horse, both on the ground and in the
'saddle' (even though I've been riding
him bareback for the past two years
because I can't/couldn't afford a saddle
and we didn't need one). He's done a
little bit of everything, a recently
I've been giving my seven-year-old
sister riding lessons on him and he's
just been an angel with her - taking
care of her but making her actually ride
and think.
Jag was trained as a
Western Pleasure show horse prospect,
but only showed twice with his previous
owners when I bought him. From there, we
trail rode extensively in all sorts of
situations from vast open fields to
along busy highways (this is both with
other horses and by our selves!). He's
got a very smart head on him and isn't
stupid when he's being rode.
Last
summer he was started in some light
huntseat and started over fences and we
excelled up to 2'' when I decided to
shift disciplines to dressage. He did
well as a low-level hunter with a very
pleasant and willing attitude and had
natural level knees over fences and
level top-line. He also did well with
basic dressage, but just doesn't have
the energy or drive to excel at
competitive dressage. I've shown him
once at a small schooling dressage show
and he handled it like a champ, I had no
problems with him what so ever and he
earned me two blue ribbons.
Now
we've gotten back to just trail riding
because I, personally don't have the
desire to show.
He's UTD on all his
shots/vet work, wormings, and ferrier
visits and is very well cared for - he's
my baby.
That is why I've decided to
offer him for partial lease, so he
continues to get the regular attention
he deserves while I pursue my higher
education in Equestrian Business
Management.
I would prefer someone
who has had at least some experience
with horses and is looking for a horse
to maybe get a feel of what it 'takes'
to really own a horse. I would expect
the leaser to come out and ride/groom
Jag at least once a week.
Please, if
you have any questions or want to see
any pictures of Jag, email me at
ScotchMegafleet@mchsi.com and I'll be
sure to get back to you
ASAP!
Thanks!!!
Molly
