This is a well-mannered, sensible, and
sensitive Lipizzan-x mare. I have not
ridden her this past summer, and have
just now resumed her training. Although
she has less than a year of training on
her, she has shown much promise and her
upper level potential has shown through
on many occasions. Rialta is attentive
to the most subtle changes or your seat,
as I have always used the most discreet
aids with her. For this reason, she is
not currently suitable for a novice, but
I see no reason she couldn't be a lesson
horse - as long as there is a
knowledgeable instructor there to guide
the two along the correct
path.
She has never shown any
malice or foul temperament - despite her
sensitivity, she is actually quite
docile.
Rialta has good movement
and comfortable gaits -especially her
canter! She has done a number of flying
changes, although she hasn't been
trained in them. She has just recently
started her half-passes, (which she does
at all 3 gaits) and she will soon -
hopefully!- start on some in-hand piaffe
and levade development.
The
majority of her dams side is chestnut,
so she would make a suitable broodmare
for those looking to breed a colored
Lip-X. (she is flea-bitten). Double
registered with the Lipizzan and Arabian
breed associations. Please check out her
pedigree - Padron* is her
grandfather.
Rialta is sound and
has never had any health issues.
Excellent joints and bare feet. No
vices. Currently resumed training as of
September '09.
