"IT Just Shasta”
is a registered quarter pony gelding. He
is a beautiful dappled palomino with an
almost silver mane and tail and stands
14 hands 2 inches tall (too tall to be
shown as a quarter pony). He is six
years old and has some professional
training. A kind, “people horse,” Shasta
looks for confidence and direction from
his rider and is not suitable for a
novice. Shasta would make a good horse
for a youth with some experience who
wants to stand out in the show pen.
Shasta has all the basics and performs
some more advanced maneuvers. He is very
soft in the face and has a correct and
easy way of moving. He has an excellent
stop, turns on the haunches, forehand,
backs softly and does nice smooth
transitions. He can do all the lateral
work at the walk and trot (leg yield,
side pass, half pass, two track etc.).
Shasta is 100% sound, vet checked, and
up to date with all immunizations and
worming. He is sociable with his
stable-mates, is easy to bathe and
trailer and behaves for the farrier.
