*UPDATE*
I rode Pip
yesterday (10/13/09) in the pen and she
did GREAT! The best she's done in
months! I rode her in only a halter and
she did better than she ever has in a
bit! I was very impressed. No rearing or
anything! I got an bareback as well and
she did great!
Pippa is a
10-year-old Arabian/Quarter Horse cross.
She loves to run and is unbelievably
fast. I have shown her once in arena
race and she ran a 10.006 at a slow run.
She has also jumped small fences. The
highest we have jumped is 2'4, but she
has potential to move up. She shows
mostly Arabian characteristics-she
carries her head high when ridden, holds
up her tail, and has a skinny dished-in
face.She is a beautiful golden color,
and has a natural shine during the
summer.
Pippa loves the show scene
and new surroundings. She bathes, loads,
shoes, and lunges with no trouble.
Pippa's only problem is that she has a
tendency to rear when she gets upset and
is barn-sour, so she is not for
beginners. I am selling her because I do
not have time to fix her vice, as I am a
high-school student looking for a
part-time job. I love her with all of my
heart, and it is a very painful thing to
see her go, but I know she would do so
much better with someone who had more
time to put into her.
She is also at
a prime breeding age and would make
beautiful foals.
I would love to see
her go to a loving home with dedicated
owners. She has so much potential and
would make someone very proud.
