Jill is a flea bitten grey 14.2hh,
stocky built, 20 y/o Arabian mare (no
papers). DON'T let her age fool you! She
is a hardy mare, very easy keeper, and
still has plenty of life left in her. My
mother got her a few months ago to be
her first horse, but Jill needs a bit
more of an experienced rider. She had 8
years off riding before we got her, so
once she has more time in the saddle, I
think she would be great for any rider.
She can be a brat to catch sometimes
(she just walks away), but once you get
her she is fine. She has excellent
ground manners, tacks perfectly, stands
for farrier great. We have been rding
her in a hackamore and she does great.
She has never offered to bite, kick,
rear, etc. She will throw her head a bit
if she doesn't want to do what you want
her to, but that is the worst of it, and
that scares my timid mother. We have
taken her trail riding around the
property and she has been great. She
leads or follows on the trail and isn't
bothered by anything. She was even
charged by a neighbors dog and Jill
didn't flinch. She is a great horse, she
just needs someone with more experience
and time to get her back into shape. If
interested, please email.
Thanks! :)
