Look at her pedigree (I still need
to finish this) - all around ability is
bred here - starting with the 1999
Futurity Cutting Horse Champion -
Genuine Doc - as her dam's sire. Her
first filly earned the title of 2005
Southeast Foundation Quarter Horse
Champion Mare and High Point Champion
Mare. She was bred to a grulla by AI
2x's and the above foal is a slate
grulla and the second was a silver
grulla, so she is very capable of
producing color based on stud's color in
combination with her black color and her
sire's buckskin color. She is 16hh and
1200 lbs, very beautiful confirmation in
the chest, neck and hips.
Genuine Sugar started her riding as a
trail horse and then as a 4 year old on
to the college rodeo circuit where she
was accomplished in barrels, poles,
roping calves and goats. Her rider
received a college scholorship during
the 3 years of competing on that level
with Genuine Sugar. She has been used
on the farm for bringing up cows and
checking the herd. She is a very
experienced trail horse with exposure to
various terraine and is currently being
ridden as such. She is extremely sound,
has great feet and has never worn shoes,
has great ground manners and has no
vices whatsoever. This is a horse that
has been able to go from being a
competition horse to a brood mare for 5
years and back to riding as if she has
never missed a day. She would still make
a great competing horse on any level and
is bold and beautiful in her
confirmation, which passes to her babies
in all aspects. She exhibits great
confidence in riding and can be ridden
with bit, bosal or just jump on bareback
in the pasture and ride with the halter
and lead rope (I have actually ridden
her on the trail this way).
