Son (AKA Sensation) is a 15.2hh, 10 yr
old, Black/White Tobiano, Gelding with a
thick mane and an 8 ½ foot long tail!!!
He is registered TWHBEA and has an
excellent pedigree. I bought Sensation
from Cecil, who is a preacher and a good
friend of ours. Cecil raised Sensation
from a colt. He has trail ridden
Sensation all over, in numerous states,
and at many state parks. He has shown
Sensation in flatshod pleasure classes
virtually every weekend for the last 7
years, through out Kentucky and
Tennessee. Sensation has even been
shown at the TWH National Celebration
and took home a ribbon there. He has
been shown in halter classes and has
many model awards, not to mention over
150 ribbons from pleasure classes.
Sensation is well trained to Park Out
for mounting and dismounting, he
neckreins a little, backs up very well,
and canters on a right and left lead.
Cecil was offered $35,000 for Sensation
3 years ago but neither love nor money
would buy this horse! Until about 10
months ago Cecil was stricken with a
blood disorder and as he said himself “I
was put on deaths doorsteps…”. Once a
sturdy built man now had dropped down
where he only weighted 104lbs. Knowing
that it was a long road for full
recovery, and being up in years, Cecil
decided to hang up his hat and call it
quits. I promised to find Sensation a
great home because he certainly is a
great horse! Sensation has a very smooth
and very natural runwalking gait where
he will nod his head every step of the
way, he can speed up to about 10 mph in
his Racking gait which is also smooth
and has a good canter too. Sensation is
what we call a “push button” type of
horse. He is very responsive and in
tune to what his rider wants. He is
great for someone who wants to a
show/trail combo horse. He loves to
work and always has a willing attitude.
A lot of riders will love him and agree
that he is a very fun horse to ride!
Sensation has had 2 months of
professional gaiting, trail and
bombproof training. He has been ridden
around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large
noisy tarps and has also had guns shot
off of his back. Just like everything we
say about our horses, we have the videos
to prove it. No matter where he goes or
what he does, Sensation is not spooky
acting. On the trails he is always
great! Sensation has been exposed to all
kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey
or other animals like cows or dogs and
will go anywhere that he is asked too.
He has been rode many miles in the
mountains of Eastern Kentucky and
Tennessee and encountered every obstacle
possible on the trail. He will go up or
down even the steepest slopes, across
deep creeks, over downed trees, and over
all types of rough terrain while still
being sure footed. He has been rode in
traffic, and is very traffic safe around
cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He has
a great attitude about whatever he is
asked to do and is always willing. Feel
