Manchester is an intelligent 2003
warmblood cross gelding who has a great
mind and is very willing. His regular
schooling consists of a combination of
lateral work (shoulder-in & leg yield)
and various gymnastic exercises, as well
as course work. His flying changes are
well schooled and have become automatic
for him.
Last year was his first
full year of showing and he placed in
several classes at Thunderbird,
including winning two .9m classes. He
also placed 5th in the mini-prix at
Andersons in the fall of 2008. He
recently returned from Andersons in July
2009 with numerous ribbons for his solid
rounds. He is maturing into a great
jumper and a wonderful partner.
**Update, Manchester was recently at
Willowgrove in August 2009 where he
placed in most of his classes, winning
two of them (including the Mini-Prix on
Sunday).
Manchester would be the
ideal horse for an adult amateur or a
junior rider that wants to get into the
jumper ring. He is competing in the 2'6
- 3' jumper divisions and is showing the
potential to move up.
Manchester
will remain in a dedicated training/show
program until he is sold.
