Nightwatch Surprise (TWHBEA#
[20400354])aka. Tucker is a nice stocky
soon to be six year old gelding. He was
trained at a show barn but does not park
out well. (Last I checked you don't lose
in the lineup if you stand and don't
park.) He has not had his tail set or
messed with. Has been shown a few times
as small shows while I owned him- not
sure of his past between me and his
breeder, trainer, and second owner. Have
talked to his breeder and trainer, and
then his second owner. Bred for big lick
or plantation shod, but didn't look like
he was going to be the 16hh horses they
liked. I bought him when he was 3.
He has filled out and grown to about
15.1-15.2. He could be worked a little
and he could show fine in the pleasure
ring. Barefoot right now. Has had one
pad and shoe, and one plantation set
with me. When he was in a growth spurt
he had a tendency to get pacey so we had
some heel caulks and trailers on the
back. He's all fine now, with no
problems.
I think he would make
an excellent trail horse with some
experience. Not just once or twice a
year trail, but every weekend in
different states. I have had him on
trails before. Not a problem horse at
all. Will stand at trailer or will stay
in stall over night.
Him being Shod,
clipped, washed, oe loaded= EXCELLENT.
Loves to go for trailer rides. He's a
dead head on the ground, and only when
you get on him does he get excitable.
That is why he is a five on temperment.
He doesn't have a mean bone in his body.
Smooth gait, nice canter. If you ask
him, he can run a pretty good piece.
Safe horse.
However, being a young
horse that he is, the less often you
ride him, the more excitable and "show
horsey" he's going to be when you get up
on him the next time. He'll just want to
run walk and no flat walk!
Our
whole family loves this horse to death,
but I'm showing on the American
Saddlebred circuit again this year and
he needs someone to give him more time
and love and possibly a chance in the
show ring. Price is highly negotiable-
motivated seller. However, he must be
going to a good home or no deal! We love
him very much and don't want him to go
somewhere unsatisfactory.
It
should be "drying out" this Sat, so I
can hopefully get some good pictures and
video. If you e-mail I have several
pics, but many are as a 3 and 4 year
old, and he's really filled out and
grown into his legs since then. He was a
little of a late bloomer.
If you're
interested in a show horse and/or trail
horse, here is Tucker!
