Sorry - this is not an ad for an
inexpensive Friesian. It is a warning
regarding many or most of the ads you
see on the Internet horse classified
sites regarding a free or inexpensive
Friesian horse. I have put warning ads
on this and other sites before & have
had numerous responses from victims &
near victims. I know you are undoubtedly
a horse lover longing for an inexpensive
but wonderful horse. The scammers are
trying to get your shipping money & in
some cases more as well. (I understand
that normally the buyer arranges the
shipping, not the seller.) Also these
"sellers" (scammers) often - but not
always - list the imaginary horse
umpteen times in different states. Also
you will notice that the ads often read
the same at least in part. Often the
scammer doesn't really know a lot about
horses & Friesians in particular & will
list unlikely things regarding what he
can do or not do, his size & coloring.
I'll have to say, name choices are weird
for the horse listed many times. Just
check them out thoroughly before you put
money out. DON'T buy sight unseen would
be my advice. Photos don't prove
anything. Vet statements don't (unless
you originate the request from a vet of
your choice, not the scammers). I'm not
saying to quit looking for your dream
horse. Just be careful. I actually did
find 2 horses that I dearly love for an
inexpensive fee.....but I saw them
first. I arranged their transportation.
And they were not all trained and such
for that low cost for which I got them.
Nor were they considered show quality.
(They've turned out very well)
