Rio is a ten year-old liver chestnut
mare. She stands at about 14:2-14:3
hands high. Her dam is Alexis Steel Bars
who decends from Aladdinn. Rio's sire is
a beautiful dark brown/nearly black
half-saddlebred cross quarter
horse/arab. She throws beautiful flashy
foals (a grey, a palimino and a PINTO).
She has been used as a broodmare for the
past few years. She is in need of a
confident, dedicated rider.
After she was bred she needed
chiropractic work done in order to solve
a bucking issue. She is now completely
sound and ready for a friend to put some
miles on her and rebuild her confidence.
She has beautiful flowing
movement, and carries herself well. Rio
is UTD on shots, deworming, farrier and
has had chiorpractic work done. She can
be difficult to catch at times but after
spending time with her and bonding with
her she becomes your best bud. :)
She would make an excellent 4-H
horse. I would take her in 4-H but
because I am a student in school I
cannot find the time. I recommend a
intermediate/confident rider as she is
very sensitive. Before I bought her she
was used as a trail/lesson horse and I
know she could get back to that if she
has the time put into her. She rides
english, western and bareback with a
halter or bridle.
She is an easy
keeper and would also make a great
companion horse. I am willing to
negotiate the price to a loving, forever
home.
Email me for pictures and I
would be happy to send you some.
