Zonta is a 2006 black pony mare that is
fully broke too ride and drive by the
Amish. We brought Zonta home with 2 pony
geldings and we sold the one gelding
right away. After a winter we were going
to give Zonta and the other gelding back
when a lady called and she bought the
gelding. Zonta was only 2 at the time
and we decided to let her grow up so we
left her to run with the 23 yr old Arab
gelding, paint gelding, the Fjord mare,
and the 2 retired Percherons. Then this
spring we discovered she was bred. We
called up our friends and they didn’t
know she was bred either. So on April
20, 2009 around 5 a.m. Zonta gave us a
baby boy (Pistol). When she had Pistol
she was a wonderful mother! During the
summer we started to work with her again
on driving and riding. She was doing
really well considering her crazy baby
and not being hooked up at all for about
half a year. So after we sold her colt
we finally brought her down by our house
and now she is being handled everyday.
This pony has a lot of potential to be a
hunt pony or a speed pony. She is
outside during the day with the paint
horse mare and quarter horse colt. We
will keep working her throughout the
winter on ground manners, handling, and
training her more. However the more
progress she makes the more her price
will go up. She is green broke and I
would not recommend her for a young
rider. She is UTD on shots and has a
2009 negative coggins. She stands
wonderful for the farrier and vet and
she jumps right in the trailer (slant).
Call and stop by anytime to come take a
look at her! Price: $ 500 |
