Clyde is a four year old Percheron cross
(his dad was 17 hh full percheron and
his mom was 16.2 hh percheron/QH cross).
He's all black except 2 white back feet
and a white "lightbulb" on his face. He
has 2 perfectly straight black stripes
down the inside of both back feet. He
has the sweetest personality and was
raised in a loving, stable environment.
I bought him when he was 2 years old and
he has grown so much in only 2 years. He
is a very calm trusting horse and all of
his pasture buddies love him. The only
reason I am selling Clyde is because I
don't have the time or money for proper
training. He is currently being ridden
by a professional and she is working
with him on leg cues and learning how to
hold his head and trotting. There is
absolutely nothing wrong with him, he's
sound and up to date on all shots and
hooves. He doesn't have shoes on because
he has very strong, healthy hooves and
I've never had any problems with him
being barefoot. I really wish i didn't
have to sell him because he is the best
horse I have ever owned, and that's
really saying alot because I have had
many well trained, well behaved horses
before him. He just has that personality
that makes you fall in love with him as
soon as you meet him. Everyone that
comes to the stable where I board at
thinks he is just so cute and they can't
believe he's only 4. He hasn't had that
much training, but i can guarantee that
he will never ever buck someone off
unless they push him to. he has not
rejected anything I have made him do.
Clyde is also a very quick learner, so
training him should be a breeze. he does
perfect when i ride out in the pasture
and on some trails. he listens to me the
most when im riding him bareback on a
trail (he really enjoys it) he has not
ever spooked while im riding or lunging
him. One day when he is older he should
be a jumper because that's one thing he
could do very well even at 2yrs old... i
have seen him jump perfectly over a 2
foot jump (even without any jumping
training) Accepts the bit with pleasure
and really doesn't mind being saddled.
He never fights with other horses and
small children don't spook/upset him at
all, since there are many students who
are children where I board him. He
stands for the farrier and doesn't give
him a hassle. He really is a very sweet
horse and i hate that I have to sell
him. I will only sell him to a
permanent home where they will take good
care of him and take him to his full
potential. Thanks for looking at my ad
