Tornado is a 7 Year old Sorrel
Thoroughbred gelding who was started
slow and ready to be finished your way.
After a long stretch of being a
pasture ornament because his owner is
out of town so much, he is now calm but
nervous under saddle but when you open
him up, he is FAST. Has good ground
manners and is super smart. At feeding
time...this is the horse that will turn
the hay bin right side up for you when
he is asked to do so. Will put his head
in the halter for you and do pretty much
anything for carrots.
Loves
attention and follows you around like a
puppy dog in the pasture. Loves dogs and
kids and does not get spooked when they
are running around and under his legs.

Tornado (named for the shape
of his snip on his forehead) is an easy
keeper who loves to learn and loves to
please. Has been trail ridden for the
past three years and loves to be out
and about. We have also free jumped him
and taken him to a couple of gymkhanas.
Tornado has even jumped (one day only)
in a western saddle, with a very
experienced rider on him. With a little
encouragement, this handsome guy will
try to do anything for you. He would be
considered "Green" because it has been
so long since he has had any consistent
training, only trail riding and the
occassional gymkhana. He is also
nervous without his pasture buddy. He
will go for you but he gets nervous and
throws his head a little and you may
even get a little hop of
disappointment. However, once he is
away from his pasture, although not
confident in the world on his own, he
will go for you. With encouragement and
by speaking to him, you ease his fears
and gain his confidence. This horse is
a great mover and with your time and
love, will be an amazing horse for you.
He has a very big heart and loves to
play.
He has great ground
manners. Offering him at this low price
to the right home only for someone who
can and will take him to the next level
in his forever home. This horse will
make a great jumping prospect. He is
quick and has good form.
