beginner or someone who seeks to
advance, this intelligent and talented

proven himself to be a versatile mount.
The Sundance Kid is the 2008 Provincial
Champion Pony Jumper in the Alberta Show
Jumping 5 Star Series, also finishing
second in Pony Medals and third in Pony
Hunter. Sunny placed second at the
Spruce Meadows Pony Four Bar with a jump
of 4’ 2” after eight exhausting rounds
of four fences each. On his way to the
top of the Alberta A circuit Sunny
earned ribbons and titles at too many
shows to mention.
Sunny has
earned the right to say that he's a
contender whenever he enters the ring.
He has carried riders at every level -
novice circuit, short stirrup and
advanced pony classes. Truly versatile,
this pony will behave appropriately in
any circumstance – go ahead and ask him
to build confidence in a beginner.
Next, put him with a partner who wants
to add zazz and thrill to a competition
campaign. Patient and forgiving, Sunny
just needs to be pointed at the fence.
He can do everything except memorize the
course. He will fix rider errors and
continue on with his job.
Sunny
has a long stride that helps him speed
through jumper courses. Very
maneuverable, he can cut corners and
make up time if asked. After a few
turns through a warm up ring, he will
slow and collect up for hunters or
medals.
Never sick or lame,
Sunny stands patiently for braiding,
clipping and farriers. Easy to catch,
easy going in a herd and quiet in a
stall or trailer. He loves to be adored
by the fans that collect around him
everywhere he goes. He is quiet outside
of the ring too – he has been in
parades, out on cattle drives and on
mountain trails.
