We were lucky to pick up "Poco" at the
University of Findlay sale in 2008.
"Poco" had mostly been ridden in indoor
arenas so we introduced him to the
trails. He did great. Goes through
water, over bridges, will lead or
follow, pickets, loads, and gets along
well with other horses and with dogs.
He would sometimes startle when he
encountered something new on the trail,
but always stayed put - never ran or
bolted. He clips and bathes, too.
Farrier says he's the best horse in the
barn. He has a nice slow jog and is
very responsive and eager to please. We
ride without a bit or spurs. Poco is
sweet and good natured, but still young
enough to show some spunk if you ask!
We think Poco has loads of potential!!
