Boomer, as we call him around the barn,
has been a one of a kind horse. We are
selling him because I am getting married
and will be very sad to see him go- he
must go to a good home. I've had him
since he was 2 and seen him grow and
become the excellent horse he is today.
He got a late start on his training due
to lack of ammenities and our experience
but he has been worked with by a trainer
for the past year and a half and has
progressed excessivley. He stands
perfectly for the farrier, is good with
clippers, is always the first one at the
gate and will pretty much put his head
in a halter. He stands well to be
saddled and mounted and is a nice ride
on the trail. He's been pretty spook
proof so far and likes to be a leader.
Boomer is very energetic and is not barn
sour at all. In fact he is perfectly
fine going off on a ride by himself down
the road- he just loves to be working.
He would be a great barrel racing
prospect, western pleasure or roping
horse... almost anything you would want
to do with him you could- he learns
quickly! He has been shown in both 4-H
and the Pinto show ring and has futurity
points on him, although that was with
his breeder and I am not sure how many
points he has. He has been a wonderful
horse for me as my first horse and it
will be very hard to see him go, but i
wouldn't want him to just sit in a
pasture and not get used because he has
such great potential!
