Westin is a stunnin chestnut Hanoverian
gelding imported from Germany and the
son of Weltmeyer, the Hanoverian
Stallion of the Century. At 17.1 H, he
won blue ribbons at all our jumping/flat
shows together from 2006-08. We finished
second for the year in our division at
Wellington. I have been told that he has
a great deal of potential as a dressage
horse, which is the reason I'm trying to
sell him as one instead of as a
jumper.
Westin's range of talents
vary from English pleasure horse to
dressage to Grand Champion in the show
ring! His flat gaits are some of the
nicest I've ever ridden, with a long,
extremely smooth trot and deep
comfortable rocking canter. I've seen
him jump up to 4'3, which is like a
stepping stone for him.
He loves
to please people! No vices - clips,
trailers fine, no kicking or biting.
He's a great horse and very safe; I was
14 when I purchased him and I never had
a problem handling him. I've taken him
on many trails and he rides fine, even
with a double jointed bit, rubber
mouthpiece. Recently, I have been riding
him late in the evening when it is dark
outside, and he has not spooked once.
