Gauge is a great horse just in need of
some additional training under saddle.
The more I have worked with him the
better he has done. His papers could
easily be obtained through the American
Appendix Assoc., his registered name is
Zips Dutch Chocolate. I never obtained
them from his previous owner and
therefore selling him under value.
I don't have the time he needs
with two small children and some health
issues therefore have decided its in his
best interest to find him that home. He
is spirited and I would recommend
putting him on a longe line before
riding but he is great to ride. Very
smooth gait rides the best when he is on
a trail with other horses.
He
loads well, gets along well with other
horses and will walk right up to you in
the pasture for petting. Easiest of our
horses to catch. He is my favorite but
needs a rider that can give him the
training he needs. Gauge spent a month
with a professional trainer May 2008
which done him a world of good I just
haven't had the time to spend with him
that he needed and therefore backslid
some on his under saddle manners. He is
up to date on all vaccinations and has a
current negative coggins.
I
would also consider an even trade for a
horse very broke under saddle
perferrably a mare maybe a gelding that
would be gentle enough for my 8 year old
daughter or myself. Email for pictures
