"Flick" is a beautiful, flashy mare who
is sweet, sensitive but nervous about
new things. She has good ground manners
and will stand quietly for the farrier
and grooming. She was originally trained
Western as a trail/cow working horse;
she rode beautifully when first
purchased. She has a nice trot, and a
smooth slow lope; but due to an injury
to the owner was left unridden for 2
years.
A trainer has been
working with her on the ground for
almost three months and she loves
playing free lunging games- she will
follow the trainer step for step
including backing, stopping, trotting
etc. She has been started getting her to
accept weight in the stirrups again,
although she is nervous about it. She
stands quietly for a saddle, isn't
girthy. Plays with a bit but doesn't
mind being bridled.
She needs
someone who can take the time to keep up
with her groundwork and take their time
getting her used to having a person on
her again. She is curious and likes to
be around people, she's just jumpy and
needs someone who will take it slow but
work her several times a week, her price
is very negotiable to the right home.
Price: $ 1,800 (Negotiable)
